Amanda is from the tiny New England island of Martha’s Vineyard; she grew up on the water and it felt natural to make Manhattan Beach her home. Amanda discovered Yoga while studying for medical school and volunteering in hospitals in Sri Lanka. She needed something to keep her healthy and grounded throughout her journeys — yoga fit perfectly. Amanda originally fell in love with her yoga practice because of the challenges it brought physically, but the more she practiced, the more she realized there was to learn. She found her flow in the qualities and balance that yoga brought. In her classes she hopes to instill a calm mind, keeping her students in the moment while having fun.
