Lane first stepped on his mat over 20 years ago while training at a wrestling camp with Olympic gold medalist Chris Campbell. Lane expressed, ” Running 6 miles in the morning, wrestling and weights in the afternoon, and Yoga at night. To say I looked forward to yoga would be a huge understatement. Child’s pose and Savasana sealed the deal.” Lane went on to play Division 1 lacrosse at Rutgers University where he had an all American career while earning his Bachelor Degree in Philosophy. Soon after graduating, Lane moved from New Jersey out to California and kicked his yoga practice into high gear practicing with well-known teachers, Bryan Kest and Govindas. ” Yoga began to permeate my whole life. From strengthening my body to calming my mind, to stoking my spirit, Yoga and the awareness derived from it has really played the largest role in who I am today.” After 15 years of consistent practice, Lane decided he needed to share this gift with anyone who would listen. Lane went on to earn his Masters degree in Psychology and completed his 200 hr teacher training with Yoga Mittra. In addition to the 200 hrs, Lane studied another 200 hrs to reaffirm what he has been learning. Lane Credits Shelly Williams, Genevieve Pujalet, and Suzy Nece for pushing him out of his comfort zone and supporting and encouraging him on his journey. Lane is registered with Yoga Alliance and currently resides in Redondo Beach.
