Hannah Stahulak

Hannah grew up in Chicago, moved out west to San Francisco six years ago, and has now spent the last two years in the Los Angeles/South Bay area. Hannah found yoga initially to ‘work out’ and balance her busy graduate school schedule, but it quickly became a much deeper practice. She became so convinced of its magic that she pursued her 200 hr yoga certification at Laughing Lotus Yoga Center on top of her master’s degree! Yoga is many things to Hannah, but most importantly, it’s a way to navigate gracefully through life. Yoga offers you tools such as bodily understanding and acceptance, control of mind, and a much more in-depth perspective on how to live a fulfilling and happy life. Hannah classes will offer you an authentic yogic experience through fun asanas, breathwork, meditation, and readings. Aside from yoga Hannah has her Master of Fine Arts from the San Francisco Art Institute and a Bachelor’s degree in Art Education. She teaches children’s drawing and painting classes on top of her yoga teaching schedule.

Matt Rothert

Matt grew up in the South and Midwest playing whatever sport was in season. Baseball, Basketball, Soccer, Football, and Hockey. He ran Track and played golf while at Wheaton College in Chicago and graduated with a BA in Business and Economics. After a successful climb up the corporate ladder in the Minneapolis/Chicago area he gave it all up in search of his passion. He moved to California in 2001 and soon realized he was home.

Matt taught himself to surf and skateboard and then began practicing yoga. He quickly realized yoga improved nearly all aspects of his life, strengthening both his body and mind. Matt has earned over 1000 hours of yoga teacher training with Julie Rader through The Mukti Yoga School and is currently one of Mukti Yoga’s Senior Teachers. He enjoys sharing his love of yoga through teaching it to others. Matt has been teaching for more than 10 years and teaches both Vinyasa Flow Yoga as well as relaxing/restorative yoga and meditation.

He also had the benefit of working alongside some of the most renowned yoga teachers in the world, working at Glo.com from 2012 – 2019.

Matt teaches the benefits of yoga, meditation and visualization to professional athletes, corporations, teams, youth and weekend warriors. His students will attest to the amazing benefits they receive along with his calming and peaceful energy. His positive vibe inspires and encourages his students to live happier, healthier lives.

In addition to teaching yoga, Matt is a devoted husband and father. He follows his passions for cooking and the ocean by being on the Board of Directors for the local non profit Growing Great and by going in the ocean nearly every single day. He also leads Yoga and Service retreats locally and around the world with his wife Chelsea who is also a yoga teacher.

Jessica Risco

Jessica discovered yoga in 2005 while teaching English in Morocco. Three women gathered twice a week to learn the Ashtanga Primary Series literally from the ground up. After graduating for the University of Arizona with a Masters degree in Public Health, her relationship with the practice began to deepen to incorporate the mind and body for a greater sense of health and well-being. A recent transplant to Los Anglese from Oakland, she has been teaching yoga since 2015 and completed her 200-hr training in December of 2018 from Yoga Tree/YogaWorks in San Francisco. Jessica believes that yoga is for everybody and all bodies.

Sarah Beston

Sarah discovered yoga when she moved from Boston to the West Coast more than 13 years ago. After years of competitive gymnastics and dance, yoga felt like a natural physical progression. What she hadn’t anticipated was the rad journey her physical practice would present beyond the body and into the realm of mind and spirit. Like any great love, yoga challenges her. As a life-long student, yoga continues to be a medium for lessons about personal power, grace and freedom from self-doubt, judgment, insecurity, and fear.

In her yoga classes, Sarah promotes a welcoming and safe environment that realigns her students with the natural gifts already within them— vitality, strength, joy, and intuitive intelligence. She brings her love of dance and choreography to creative vinyasa flow sequences that, through refined attention to breath, physical strength, and mindful movement, connect her students with the expansive freedom and potential of the body-mind. She believes a consistent practice offers the practitioner a pathway to his or her own divine, radiant nature.

Sarah received her yoga teacher training certification (Yoga Alliance RYT 200-hour) through Yoga Mittra, under the guidance of Shelley Williams, Genevieve Pujalet, and Suzy Nece. She considers the lovely Kira Ryder one of her biggest mentors and role models.

She resides in Manhattan Beach, California with her husband Travis and dog Sadie.

Jayne Portnoy

Michigander. Floridian (don’t judge). Californian (finally). Fixer. Brand Maker. Yogi.
I’ve been getting bendy for the last decade in and around Venice and thrilled to be finally creating community in my own hood. My classes are flowy, funny, functional and you’ll leave loving your body a tiny bit more than you did walking in the room.
