Sarah discovered yoga when she moved from Boston to the West Coast more than 13 years ago. After years of competitive gymnastics and dance, yoga felt like a natural physical progression. What she hadn’t anticipated was the rad journey her physical practice would present beyond the body and into the realm of mind and spirit. Like any great love, yoga challenges her. As a life-long student, yoga continues to be a medium for lessons about personal power, grace and freedom from self-doubt, judgment, insecurity, and fear.
In her yoga classes, Sarah promotes a welcoming and safe environment that realigns her students with the natural gifts already within them— vitality, strength, joy, and intuitive intelligence. She brings her love of dance and choreography to creative vinyasa flow sequences that, through refined attention to breath, physical strength, and mindful movement, connect her students with the expansive freedom and potential of the body-mind. She believes a consistent practice offers the practitioner a pathway to his or her own divine, radiant nature.
Sarah received her yoga teacher training certification (Yoga Alliance RYT 200-hour) through Yoga Mittra, under the guidance of Shelley Williams, Genevieve Pujalet, and Suzy Nece. She considers the lovely Kira Ryder one of her biggest mentors and role models.
She resides in Manhattan Beach, California with her husband Travis and dog Sadie.
